Welcome to Discipleship 101, a step in your lifelong journey to making disciples.
The Course Kickoff lesson will provide more details on what to expect from the course.
This course is designed to be taken with others. You will take on the role of either a Disciple Maker or a Disciple. The Disciple Maker is responsible for setting the pace, leading discussions, coordinating, setting expectations, being prepared for the group discussions (i.e., reading responses, asking questions, etc) and guiding the Disciples. The Disciples are responsible for completing the lessons on time, showing up to the group discussions, being open and honest with your responses. Everyone answers the questions and contributes to the group discussion.
There are 3 “levels” of lessons, beginning with Forming that focuses on new Christians or non-believers and is meant to help form the foundational Christian beliefs. The next level is Storming, it focuses on diving deeper into understanding scripture and your identity as a Christian and pushes believers to be more active in their faith. The third level is Performing, which focuses on taking the core concepts of Christianity and applying them to your everyday life.
Most lessons consist of Know (describes what the disciple should know about Christianity), Feel (asks questions about what was just described), Do (gives examples of how they can live this out), Memory Verse (a verse to memorize relating to the lesson), Group Exercise (something the group can practice relating to the lesson), Additional Resources (additional books, websites, videos, etc that relate to the lesson if you want to dive deeper).
